The Virtual Internship
In July 2020 Hunter Hillel launched a self authored internship wherein students choose their own professional development adventure. This is a 10-week internship for our students, where cohorts of 30 students gain access to Rubin Education online modules and weekly cohort meetings with Michael Gaudio (CommonPoint Queens), Merav Fine Braun (Hunter Hillel), and Jenna Citron Schwab (QC Hillel) every week, in addition to a the peer mentorship of an experienced Virtual Internship Fellow, and unlimited one-on-one access to our Career Connect colleagues and resources.Through the online modules, students have the opportunity to explore professional interests, learn essential writing and networking skills, and build their resumes. With over 100 students graduated from this internship, 20% report full time jobs, increased confidence, and interest in learning even more as we grow the program. To find out more, contact Merav!
Bonim Fellowship
Bonim, a partnership with Queens College Hillel, is a year long learning and student engagement fellowship The curriculum focuses on educating students about the full depth and breadth of the many challenges of Israel and Palestine, as well as examination of the Conflict through text and mediation training. With teachers and materials from the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and Resetting the Table, our students come away with invaluable life skills around difficult conversations, seeking to understand difference, and peer to peer engagement strategies. The students are tasked with a year end capstone project which illustrates their educational and emotional journey towards understanding the nuances of Israel and Palestine at the end of the school year, as well as a student engagement goal.

Campus Engagement Internship
Hunter Hillel’s Campus Engagement Interns (CEI's) help facilitate deep and meaningful Jewish conversations and experiences for our students by our students. Our Community Engagement Interns create unique spaces for our students to connect over shared interests, identities, cultures, and beyond. Each intern brings their unique story and perspective to our work, and diversifies our programming and student community. We look for students who have a unique voice, a desire to effect change in our community, and a hope to grow their professional & leadership skillset. CEI's are provided with extensive professional and personal development through weekly mentorship meetings and bi-weekly trainings with experts. Interns are selected through a rigorous application and interview process each semester. CEI's receive a $400 stipend each semester upon successful completion of the internship.

Mizrahi LEAD
Mizrahi LEAD, a partnership across CUNY Hillels with the Covenant Foundation, is a year-long Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development program that empowers Mizrahi Jewish students to explore their common history and Jewish identity, examine styles of leadership and community organizing while participating in a one of a kind Jewish philanthropy project. Mizrahi LEAD is for students who are Bukharian, Persian, Moroccan, Syrian, Iraqi, Afghani, Kavkazi, & Yemenite backgrounds.
