Our Communities

Former Soviet Union (FSU) Club
Former Soviet Union (FSU) is for students who are from or have families who lived in the Former Soviet Union. This is a place to connect over shared experience, culture and history. FSU seeks to celebrate the diversity of Jewish people and share these practices with the rest of the Hillel community. Want to get involved? Email Sarah.

Tzivoni
A uniquely Jewish LGBTQ+ space at Hunter, where Jews of all sexualities, identities and orientations can come together and socialize, discuss meaningful subjects and enjoy each other's company. With this group, we will have the opportunity to explore our experiences of being both LGBTQ+ and Jewish. Think: open panels, focus groups, and game days, along with general opportunities to socialize and meet new people.

J Street
J Street U is the student organizing arm of J Street, the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans. We are a nationwide movement of campus chapters advocating and educating on colleges and universities, in our communities and on Capitol Hill for vigorous and sustained American leadership in facilitating a negotiated, two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We are deeply committed to ensuring Israel’s future as the democratic homeland of the Jewish people, which can only be secured through a two-state resolution. To get involved, email Chloe.

Ahava
Ahava is the Hebrew word for Love. Our mission: Israel celebration and education through cultural
programming that highlights the diversity of Israel. Our Vision: Creating a space for students to celebrate Israel while recognizing Israel's complexities. To get involved, email Shaina.
